This morning I had to get up bright and early to go to an information session of the local Tourism board. It was a pretty important meeting. Suffice to say I was a bit taken aback when I woke up to find my roommate’s cat lying lifeless next to my bed, but that’s another story.
I assumed my boss would want to hear about the meeting while it was still fresh in my mind, especially as I’d talked to him earlier and he said he wanted to hear how it went that day. I gave him a call once I’d settled back into my office.
“Oh, hey,” he said. I explained what I was calling for. “Alright, but I may have to interrupt you and put you on hold for a couple minutes.” I wondered if something important was going on in the office and asked why.
“I have to make my picks for the hockey pool!”
